Becoming a Hospice Health Care Network
Volunteer
Volunteers are an integral part of our program at Hospice
Health Care Network . Volunteers are compassionate
individuals who have a desire to serve the community by
providing for end-of-life patients and their families in
a variety of ways.
Patient Care
- Visiting with patients/families, providing
friendship/companionship
- Emotional Support
- Respite
- Run errands
Transportation
- Light housekeeping chores
- Cooking
Administrative Support
- Clerical assistance
- Filing
- Phones
- Data entry
Bereavement
- Support with families through personal phone
calls and cards
- Assistance with bereavement events – coordinating
gatherings, memorial services, etc.
Training is provided to prepare volunteers
to meet the needs of the patients and families. If you are
